BOISE, Idaho — Look for partly cloudy skies today with highs in the low to mid-40s. The mountains have been seeing snow showers all night and snow will likely continue through the morning. A winter weather advisory is in effect for the West Central mountains until 11 a.m. this morning.
A storm from the Gulf of Alaska will drop into western Idaho on Friday. This storm will bring a burst of cool air that will drop highs into the upper 30s. The storm may cause some snow showers around the valley with a slight chance of accumulation on the valley floor. The mountains could see several inches of new snow from this system.
Conditions should dry out over the weekend as a weak high-pressure system slides over the state. The weekend will be dry with sunny skies on Saturday which will be followed by sunny to partly cloudy skies on Sunday. Overall, the pattern is looking dry through the first part of next week.
