Yamiche was born in Miami, Florida, to Haitian parents on November 1, 1986. As of 2022, Yamiche is currently 35 years old.

Her parents were both born and reared in the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince. Alcindor's father and mother met at Boston College, where they were both students.

Yamiche's father operates a non-profit organization that helps persons with special needs. Likewise, her mother is also a school social worker.
