BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The National Desk is reporting the former chief of the terrorist organization Hamas is calling for neighboring countries to join the war against Israel. The call has gained attention on social media platforms, sometimes called the Hamas Day of Rage.
As the war continues to escalate in Israel and the Gaza Strip, calls for violence against Israelis wherever they may be is also escalating, causing concern the violence may spread elsewhere.
In Idaho, people have contacted CBS2 to see what we have heard about the potential for the Hamas Day of Rage, allegedly occurring on Friday, Oct. 13.
The FBI has sent out an updated statement:

Nampa Police also responded to questions about whether the department is increasing security anywhere and whether or not they are aware of specific threats in Idaho related to this subject.
Nampa PD consistently works with other agencies and are in communication with any threats in the Treasure Valley. We have great partnerships and pass on threat information regularly. We have been in contact with our partners in Law Enforcement about this topic over the last several days. We've also discussed this topic with officers within our department to be vigilant with any information they receive from the public. We're also asking that staff report any suspicious activity to NPD leadership. Since we have no known threats, we have not increased security at any Nampa locations, other than our awareness and the conversations we've been having.Nampa Police told CBS2 that they are unaware of any threats in Idaho.
