The 'Marilyn Monroe of television' Joi Lansing had a secret affair with a woman who she pretended to the public was her sister, it has been claimed.
Alexis Hunter, now 70, who wrote a book about Lansing in 2015, claims she developed a romantic bond with the film and TV star before she passed away in 1972 at the age of 44 from cancer.
Hunter claims they hid their secret fling in plain sight, pretending she was Rachel Lansing - Joi's beloved sister - so they could continue their relationship in secret.

In the same year, Hunter had started working as a go-go dancer at a local nightclub and invited Lansing to stop by to watch one of her performances.

Hunter claims Lansing, who would've turned 91 tomorrow, arrived 'dressed to the nines' and watched some of the dancing before calling her down from the stage and whispering in her ear: ‘You don’t belong here, let’s get out of here.’
The author claims the pair went back to Lansing's home and listened to music before the TV star kissed Hunter out of the blue.
